You’ve heard the Old Testament.

You’ve read the New Testament.

But do you actually see how they are one?

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.” — Matthew 5:17

A lot of people live like there are two different Gods.
One in the Old Testament. One in the New.

One feels strict.
The other feels full of grace.

So we separate them.
We pick what feels right.
We ignore what we don’t understand.

But Jesus never separated them.

He fulfilled them.

And if we don’t understand that…
we end up building a faith that is incomplete

This is where many of us are right now.

We read parts of the Bible but don’t see the full picture.
We follow Jesus but don’t fully understand the foundation He came from.
We want truth, but we struggle to connect it all together.

And because of that,
we live in confusion without even realizing it.

This week, we’re going to slow down and look at it properly.

Not in a complicated way.
Not in a theological debate.

But in a real, honest way:

• What did Jesus actually mean in Matthew 5:17?
• What is the role of the Law today?
• How do the Old and New Testament actually connect?
• What does this mean for how you live your life right now?

Meet the Moderator — Lucas Burhan

Lucas is a missionary currently serving in Japan.
Originally from Indonesia, he is working in a school while faithfully living out his calling on the ground.

He’s not coming with theory.
He’s walking it out in real life.

Every month, he shares what the Lord has been revealing to him through Scripture — not just knowledge, but lived understanding.

This session is part of that.

We meet weekly online,
with people joining from different countries, backgrounds, and walks of life.

Our base is in Bali.
But this family is global.
